Sean Penn remains to be one of the hottest leading men in Hollywood not just because of his good looks and top notch acting but moreso because of the kind green gestures that he has been doing to help save humanity and the environment. If we will remember, this Oscar winner met up with young volunteers in Indio. He placed them on biodiesel buses headed for New Orleans to offer help to residents who suffered from the hurricane, Katrina. Apart from California, the group also stopped at Tucson, Arizona to help out the Humane Borders group. They offered a hand to build water stations near the Mexico-Arizona border.
Penn is best known for his spontaneity and outspoken stance on a variety of issues like the anti-Iraq war movement, global warming awareness and AIDS studies. Penn generously shouldered the costs for the entire trip which was estimated to sum up around $150,000.
You do not need to be as wealthy as Penn to come up with brilliant planet-saving ideas. A simple act such as using non-irritating carpet cleaners will surely go a long way!
